Wear it!

Do you have a closet full of sweaters and shawls and cowls and and and?

Do you ever wear them? I didn't until we moved into our current house in 2018.  Because it's a townhouse we don't have many windows and in the winter the sun struggles to get in. This place is freezing! So I decided to embrace the Crazy Cold Knitter look.

I wear hand knits daily! Sometimes MULTIPLE knits on knits. For a while I documented my work from home, half pajamas, half hand knit crazy outfits by sending Christen the photos. She's got some GOOOOD blackmail stored on that Iphone!

And yes the top left image is my hand knit pants, I may also have a small obsession with Old Navy's knitting pajama bottoms.

So in 2020 I decided to do something about my pile of miss matched items. I've started making sets. They don't have to be matchy matchy twin sets, but they need to work as a collection. This strategy is still very much a work in progress but it's helping to look less like a homeless knitter on a cold day when I go out.

One set I recently took to Wisconsin and Minnesota was my Mussleburgh hat, and Paris Toujours shawl made using Biddleville DK in Misty Mermaid (hat) and Eggplant (shawl). I then paired it with the Chevron Love mittens in Berryhill. The mittens have lots of colors including the ones in my hat and shawl.

I'd love to hear if you have a strategy for wearing your knits.
