Winter Olympic Pattern Round Up

You may not know that Charlotte, aka The Queen City is home to a wide variety of sports teams. We have NFL, NBA, minor league baseball and hockey teams. We are home to almost every NASCAR team, not to mention the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (Go Niner Nation!) and all the college sports teams that entails. (Plus you know all those other ACC teams that call North Carolina home). Oh wait, I can't forget the US National Whitewater Center that's only a few miles from my house. All of this to say, that I (Anne) do not like watching sports! Yeah I said it. Janis almost disowned me when I told her, diehard Panther fan that she is.

So imagine my friends amusement to learn that I am an Olympic Junkie. I don't know what it is, but watching all the nations come together and being able to cheer on Team USA really gets me in the feels. I know absolutely nothing about winter sports but you bet I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to watch Shaun White win snowboard gold. You know I read all the news articles when Simone Biles chose her mental health over more medals last summer.

In honor of my Olympic enthusiasm, I've put together a little round up of Olympic themed patterns. I may not be able to bobsled but I can knit like a champ!

The Winter Games 2018 Cowl by one of our besties Tanis Gray.

This free Olympic Mitts pattern by Kelsey Guth

The 2018 Winter Games Hat by Susan Rainey

Also the Darn Knit Winter Games pattern by Amy Pelletier and Carly Stipe

We may not be able to be there in person cheering on Team USA but we can definitely be styling like them at home!
