This month’s Studio Series yarn is a base I first picked up in Ireland, at Woolyn in 2019. At first the lace weight intimidated me, but after seeing it knit up, I fell in love. This yarn is a two ply, 80% Superwash Merino, 20% Silk. Each skein is 875 yards, making is great for summer weight sweaters. Two skeins is enough for almost any summer top. The lace weight is really versatile for holding it double and increasing your ability to make lots of other patterns, while still having a very lightweight garment.
This month's colorway, Orchid Bay, is a mythical place. One with warm sunny days, cool breezy evenings and crystal clear waters. There is an abundance of giant fruity drinks with umbrellas in them, overflowing fish tacos, and your favorite person to soak it all in next to you!
